Job Title: Access Control Technician

Join The Flying Locksmiths Oklahoma City team as an Access Control Technician and take on a challenging role that requires technical expertise and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, inspect, and service commercial and residential access and video systems.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair functions for complex access and video systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support, including instructing customers on system operation and recommending ways to use additional features.
  • Collaborate with sales staff to build and maintain working relationships and define the scope of add-ons and change orders.
  • Take responsibility for projects from start to finish, including site visits and project hand-offs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in technical hands-on field experience in security solutions, access control, door hardware, and other skilled trades.
  • Strong understanding of access control systems, including Avigilon ACM, Linear Emerge3 &50P, S2, Lenel Kantech, and Honeywell WinPak.
  • Ability to work well in a high-paced environment and independently as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift at least 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to fluently understand, speak, and write English.
  • Ability to kneel, crouch, and stoop, as well as reach above and below the shoulders.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to grasp, twist, and pull.
  • Ability to climb a ladder and work above ground.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with various access control systems, including credentials and biometrics, CCTV, lock hardware, and networks.
