Position Overview:

This role is accountable for managing the exportation of products, equipment, and materials via air freight. The position guarantees adherence to applicable local, national, and international regulations while following company policies. It also entails delivering exceptional customer service to exporting clients, including booking arrangements, rate management, documentation preparation, financial processing, and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and organize all necessary documentation for the efficient, cost-effective, and lawful execution of air export activities.
  • Coordinate cargo collection and transfer while monitoring shipment progress.
  • Engage with export-related authorities, customers, and suppliers to ensure efficient and compliant operations.
  • Communicate with overseas agents and clients promptly, including pre-alerts, rate inquiries, and shipment status updates.
  • Track shipments and keep clients and agents informed of their status.
  • Create and maintain customer records.
  • Audit files for accuracy and completeness.
  • Interact with colleagues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Complete US Customs AES filings.
  • Manage operational and customer Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Qualifications:

  • Outstanding organizational abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with the capability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Self-driven and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with customs regulations, practices, and procedures.
  • Positive and effective interaction with colleagues, subordinates, and supervisors.

Experience:

  • Preferred geographical knowledge.
  • Experience with Cargowise (C1) is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in the freight forwarding sector is preferred.
  • Knowledge of US Export Compliance is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience managing Air Export shipments or a combination of education and relevant experience is required.
