Job Summary

Eaton's EPG CHD EP Americas division is seeking a skilled Assembler II to join their team. The hourly rate for this position is $17.93 per hour.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble various industrial lighting fixtures and components by performing tasks in a work cell.
  • Handle and move parts from skids and pans to work benches, channels, and ends.
  • Assist material handlers in obtaining parts as necessary.
  • Perform individual quality inspections throughout the assembly process, marking and setting aside parts with obvious defects.
  • Set up work cells, prepare housing and frames from schedules, bill of materials, blueprints, and instructions.
  • Read and follow production orders and wiring diagrams for the product being produced.
  • Test electric wire and terminal connections for mechanical strength and electrical continuity in assembly.
  • Confirm Shop Orders in SAP and complete proper paperwork for checklists and maintain production hour-by-hour boards and productivity graphs.
  • Determine non-conforming material coming from other departments.
  • Perform operational checks as required and visually check work to maintain quality standards.
  • Work closely with material handlers to receive and organize necessary equipment for current jobs.
  • Assemble or attach electrical, mechanical, and electronic parts and components provided in work cells.
  • Manage product changeovers and follow safety rules to maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including Eaton's Life Saving Rules.
Requirements
  • Able to read electrical circuit diagrams and mechanical assembly drawings.
  • Able to conduct electrical testing and first-article inspections for light fixtures.
  • Computer knowledge and ability to be trained in product label printing procedures.
  • Minimum of 2 years of electrical wiring experience.
  • Computer experience.
  • Bilingual (Spanish).
  • SAP knowledge.
  • Ability to work in all assembly workstations with assistance.
  • Ability to work with small parts and connectors.
  • Ability to read and write English.
