About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Optometry Assistant to join our team at Marimn Health. As an Optometry Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our optometrists in delivering high-quality eye care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triaging ocular emergencies and providing timely assistance to patients
  • Proper documentation of patient information, including phone calls and medical history
  • Maintaining accurate records and schedules for patient appointments
  • Verifying insurance coverage and billing for glasses and contacts
  • Assisting patients with selecting eyeglasses and contact lenses, including taking measurements and making recommendations
  • Performing refractions and other eye exams as needed
  • Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring patient satisfaction
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; current enrollment in High School or GED program will be considered
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Prior experience in optometry or ophthalmology preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively with patients and staff
