Position Overview: SmartSource Technical Solutions is seeking a skilled Security Engineer to enhance our cybersecurity framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a cohesive cybersecurity infrastructure.
  • Oversee the maintenance and support of security tools and platforms to safeguard our organization's digital assets.
  • Collaborate with various teams to uphold the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data.
  • Engage in diverse projects, demonstrating accountability and initiative.
  • Manage security solutions including EDR, DLP, Web Proxy, Messaging, Vulnerability Management, and Identity and Access Management.
  • Create operational documentation, including playbooks and troubleshooting guides.
  • Support Incident Response activities.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient understanding of technology systems, including networks, applications, servers, and cloud technologies.
  • Experience with TCP/IP networking and operating systems such as Windows and Unix/Linux.
  • Minimum of 8 years in implementing and supporting security tools and platforms.
  • Familiarity with information security functions such as security engineering and incident management.
  • Strong communication skills, with a proven ability to engage with leadership at various levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of Cyber Security Standards, including ISO27001 and NIST CSF.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages is advantageous.
  • Able to quickly adapt to new technologies and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required.
