Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse II is a key member of the pediatric cardiovascular team at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford. This role requires a highly skilled and compassionate nurse to provide exceptional care to patients with complex cardiac conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients with cardiac conditions, including those requiring ventricular assist devices and pediatric heart-lung transplants.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized plans of care.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, interpret data, and implement evidence-based interventions to promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in education and training programs to maintain current knowledge and skills in pediatric cardiovascular nursing.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of unit-based policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current California RN license.
  • Current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
  • Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience, with a preference for pediatric experience.
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program, with a BSN preferred.
