Role Overview:


Velocity Recruitment is seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Engineer to join a well-established building services firm specializing in the maintenance of commercial and public sector facilities. This role has emerged due to the growth of their project portfolio.

As part of your responsibilities, you will perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), respond to reactive issues, and manage breakdowns across all electrical systems within the designated sites.

Applicants should possess a strong understanding of Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Generators, and Low Voltage (LV) systems, with the capability to troubleshoot using graphical data and current alarm metrics.

Knowledge of High Voltage (HV) systems and mechanical systems will be considered an advantage.


Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with opportunities for overtime and a call-out rotation of 1 in 5.

The compensation package includes a competitive salary of up to £45,000 for the right candidate, along with a Company Pension Scheme, healthcare benefits, 23 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, and a company-provided mobile device.

Candidate Requirements:
• 18th Edition Certification

• City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation

• City & Guilds Testing & Inspection 2391 (Preferred)

• Low Voltage Authorised Person (LVAP) (Preferred)

• High Voltage Authorised Person (HVAP) (Preferred)

• Strong knowledge of building services

• HVAC/Mechanical qualifications are a plus

• Client-facing experience is essential
