Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide technical engineering services to our Navy customer. We are looking for a skilled professional to implement a disciplined and rigorous Systems Engineering process across all mission areas of the system under development and sustainment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and design systems infrastructure, including hardware implementation and design.
  • Analyze, develop, modify, test, and maintain the system, ensuring it meets internal and external requirements.
  • Diagnose problems and provide recommendations for improvement on existing and new systems.
  • Act as a specialist on complex technical and business matters, working independently.
  • Support systems integration engineering management planning efforts and key programmatic documents.
  • Provide programmatic technical briefings and point papers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and Navy, military, and agency program participants on engineering-level issues.
  • Review concepts, plans, demonstrations, and other documents, providing analysis and recommendations.
  • Support capability phasing and conduct requirements analysis.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a technical discipline and at least eight (8) years of full-time professional experience as a systems engineer in a major shipboard, non-propulsion electronic subsystem.
  • OR Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and at least ten (10) years of full-time professional experience as a systems engineer in a major shipboard, non-propulsion electronic subsystem.
  • At least three (3) years of full-time experience at the system level, with education potentially substituted by this experience.
  • Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance, with US Citizenship required for clearance.
