About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in Norfolk, VA. This is a unique opportunity to work on complex electrical systems and contribute to the development of cutting-edge technology.

Job Description

The selected candidate will support senior engineering staff by conducting research, developing, designing, and testing electrical components supporting DOD navigation equipment and systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting senior personnel in design, documentation, testing, field operations, and maintenance of electrical installations of electronic circuits, components, and integrated systems.
  • Participating in research and analysis of customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall system.
  • Evaluating operational systems and recommending design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions and/or address production risks in part obsolescence.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, Math, Physics, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Three (3)+ years of professional engineering design experience in one of the following areas: Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Interface protocols (I/O); Digital design using state-of-the-art microprocessors; Analog, power, and/or Radio Frequency (RF) design.
  • Experience in Allegro Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Designer, Operational-Requirement Computer-Aided Design (ORCAD), MatLab/Simulink preferred. Experience with C/C++/C# to include basic low-level firmware design and/or higher-level GUI-based interface simulator design.
