Job Title: Registered Nurse Endoscopy FT BBC

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy team at Bronson Healthcare Group. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care in the Endoscopy department, including pre-procedure preparation, procedure assistance, and post-procedure recovery.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patient responses to care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health and wellness.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing for the state of Michigan.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Critical care or ALS certification may be required for some RNs, unit-specific.
Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position, working 36 hours per week. The shift is variable, and the nurse will be required to work a rotational schedule, including after-hours call.

The nurse will be responsible for performing scrub duties in multiple services, including neuro and ortho, and will be able to perform spinal fusions in both services.

The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide high-quality patient care.

The nurse will be required to maintain a high level of physical and mental stamina, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The nurse will be expected to work collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve quality outcomes and timely discharge.

The nurse will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including vital signs, medication administration, and treatment plans.

The nurse will be expected to participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.

The nurse will be required to maintain a high level of knowledge and competence in nursing practice, participating in ongoing educational activities and maintaining professional records.

The nurse will be expected to provide leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession, participating in nursing councils, hospital, and unit-based committees as appropriate.

The nurse will be responsible for maintaining a healthy and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of compassion, respect, and excellence in patient care.
