CS Technician

Bronson Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CS Tech to join our team at Bronson Battle Creek. As a CS Tech, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by preparing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment.

• Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols
• Inspect and test instruments for quality and functionality
• Operate and maintain sterilization equipment
• Store and distribute sterile instruments and supplies
• Conduct inventory and restock areas as needed
• Receive and process contaminated instruments and equipment
• Monitor and maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Ensure patient safety and comfort at all times
• Document work tasks and activities

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Successful completion of organization, unit, and job-specific competencies within a 90-day orientation period
• Ability to read and interpret documents, including surgical schedules and instructions for use
• Ability to communicate effectively with others
• Ability to accurately perform basic mathematical skills
• Ability to learn and retain knowledge of surgical instrumentation, medical terminology, and sterilization practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Completion of a Central Services Technology Program or six months experience in a Sterile Processing/Central Services environment
• Knowledge of surgical instrumentation, medical terminology, and sterilization practices

This position involves work which produces levels of mental/visual fatigue which are typical of jobs that perform a wide variety of technical duties with frequent and significant uncontrollable deadlines.
