Job Title: Propulsion Engineer II

At Blue Origin, we are pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. We are seeking a highly skilled Propulsion Engineer II to join our team of innovators and contribute to the design and development of advanced propulsion systems for our spacecraft.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop propulsion systems, including rocket engines, fuel systems, and thermal management systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate propulsion systems with spacecraft systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
  • Conduct experiments and testing to validate propulsion system performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work with vendors and suppliers to procure and integrate propulsion system components.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in propulsion system design and development.
  • Strong understanding of propulsion system principles, including fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and materials science.
  • Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software and simulation tools.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with propulsion system testing and validation.
  • Knowledge of spacecraft systems and integration.
  • Experience with programming languages, such as Python or C++.
