We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Oncology Physician Assistant to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to individuals with melanoma and kidney cancer.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage patient care in collaboration with attending physicians.
- Conduct thorough medical histories, perform physical examinations, and review diagnostic test results to inform patient care decisions.
- Prescribe medications and treatments, and perform procedures as needed, in accordance with institutional and state guidelines.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide education, support, and psychosocial care.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information, and maintain confidentiality and security of patient data.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Active certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, and licensure in the state of Connecticut.
- Experience in medical oncology, with a focus on melanoma and kidney cancer, is preferred.
