About Batteries Plus Bulbs:
We pride ourselves on creating a vibrant and enjoyable work environment where team members can thrive. Our associates play a crucial role in assisting customers with their everyday product and service needs, ensuring they leave satisfied.
Compensation:
Hourly pay ranges from $21 to $25, based on performance and experience. We guarantee a minimum pay of $21.00 per hour for the initial six months, allowing you to acclimate to our operations. High achievers can exceed this minimum significantly.
Weekend Shift Incentives:
To acknowledge the importance of weekend availability, we offer an additional $2 per hour for weekend shifts and $3 per hour for overtime during these hours.
Training:
No prior experience with our products is necessary. We provide comprehensive training for the first few weeks, ensuring you are well-equipped to assist our customers effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service and sales support.
- Engage with customers to assess their needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Utilize a technology-based Point of Sale system for transactions.
- Handle inbound sales inquiries and provide service assistance.
- Install batteries in various devices and perform basic repairs on electronics.
- Maintain store inventory and ensure a clean, organized environment.
- Assist in merchandising efforts to promote seasonal products.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in retail is preferred.
- Strong understanding of product offerings.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Basic math skills and familiarity with cash register operations.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves standing, walking, and handling items regularly. Associates may lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally engage in more strenuous activities.
Work Environment:
Associates may encounter various working conditions, including exposure to electrical equipment and the need for protective gear.
