- Use Solution-Based Casework and Motivational Interviewing techniques to support youth in reaching their goals.
- Establish strong relationships with adolescents using effective modeling of pro-social skills.
- Collaborate with other system providers to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting youth.
- Meet regularly with parents and adult supports to plan for youth success and provide support.
- Encourage youth to participate in therapeutic peer groups and connect them with community resources.
- Work closely with the SLAM Educational Success Coordinator to support students in applying for college and the SLAM Employment Success Coordinator to help students secure employment.
- Visit schools to meet with guidance counselors and other school officials to gather report cards and attend parent-teacher conferences.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Two years of experience working with adolescents, preferably in the field of child welfare.
- Computer literacy and conversant with social media.
