About the Role

As a Senior Structural Engineer at Stantec, you will play a key role in leading engineering teams on large-scale transportation projects. Your expertise in structural engineering will be instrumental in preparing designs and ensuring the successful delivery of projects, including bridges, highway interchanges, roadway reconstruction, subway stations, railroad infrastructure, and public spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Engineering Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure the development and delivery of high-quality structural engineering projects.
  • Team Supervision: Directly supervise and mentor junior engineers, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure their growth and development.
  • Client and Stakeholder Management: Liaise with clients, agencies, and other stakeholders to obtain structural plan approvals and manage client relationships.
  • Project Management: Manage and monitor project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest design methods, codes, and regulations, and apply this knowledge to ensure compliance and excellence in project delivery.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a strong background in transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington State, or the ability to obtain one. A Washington State Structural Engineer license is preferred.
