Job Summary

The University of Wisconsin System is undergoing a transformative administrative infrastructure overhaul. The Administrative Transformation Program (ATP) aims to standardize, optimize, and redesign business processes in finance, human resources, and research administration, with Workday as the core system. The ATP Workday Security Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of the Workday system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementing security measures, including user profiles, roles, permissions, object security, and query security for all areas of Workday.
  • Reviewing and proposing changes to internal security controls to enhance system security.
  • Monitoring system security and access controls, configuring and deploying security measures as necessary.
  • Maintaining a security matrix and ensuring compliance with data privacy standards and company policies.
Requirements
  • ERP experience with security administration and change control best practices.
  • Ability to perform complex data analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with designing and configuring security for large complex applications.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitive information effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Workday or similar ERP systems in a security-focused role.
  • Experience working with a Workday or cloud ERP implementation.
  • Experience working in a higher education setting.
  • Knowledge of the UW System and UW-Madison business support environment.
  • Experience interpreting and applying Information Security Standards such as NIST, ISO, etc.
