The Division of Community Corrections is seeking a Bilingual Spanish Community Supervision Officer. This role will involve engaging with a diverse caseload and requires proficiency in both English and Spanish.
Position Overview
The Community Supervision Officer is tasked with overseeing a designated group of individuals who are under court-ordered supervision. Responsibilities include evaluating and developing case plans for offenders, promoting lawful behavior and active community involvement, preparing thorough and timely reports, and conducting outreach activities. This position specifically requires bilingual capabilities due to the nature of the assigned cases.
Compensation Details
This role falls within pay schedule/range 12-06, offering a starting hourly wage of $22.51, along with a comprehensive benefits package. For those in the Senior Community Supervision Officer role, the pay schedule/range is 12-08, starting at $26.33/hour. Bilingual employees in this position will receive an additional $1.00/hour. Salary for current state employees may vary based on specific compensation provisions.

Job Requirements
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application. The Department of Corrections may require pre-employment drug testing, and a criminal background check will be conducted prior to selection. All new hires will undergo fingerprinting.
Special Requirements: Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record. Specific conditions may disqualify applicants from driving state vehicles.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include education, training, or experience in:
- Social work methodologies, including case management and needs assessment.
- Criminal justice systems.
- Victim advocacy.
- Cultural competency.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution techniques.
For the Senior level, candidates should have:
- A minimum of three years of experience in probation or parole, including the management of correctional clients.
- Experience in case management and planning.
- Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practices.
