Imaging Technologist

The Multi-Modality Technologist is responsible for performing and producing high-quality images for various medical procedures, utilizing a combination of imaging modalities such as CT, XR, and MRI. This role requires a strong understanding of imaging techniques, patient safety, and radiation protection.
Key Responsibilities- Operate imaging equipment and accessories to minimize risk to patients and equipment
- Select appropriate imaging sequences based on multiple factors, including patient history and lab work
- Perform venipuncture, including starting, maintaining, and removing intravenous access
- Provide radiation protection and other necessary precautions for imaging modalities
- Obtain and verify patient clinical history and lab work
- Use point-of-care devices for lab work
- Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institution in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Ultrasound/Medical Sonography
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- State licensure certification (as required by the state where the job is performed)
- Registration with ARRT or RDMS or CNMT
- Competency in two of the following imaging modalities, with certification within 12 months: Bone Densitometry, Breast Sonography, Radiologic Technology, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasonography, Nuclear Medicine, Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography, Cardiac Interventional Radiography, Cardiac Sonographer, Vascular Interventional Radiography, Mammography, Vascular Sonography, Registered Vascular Technologist
- 1 year of experience in a healthcare environment
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience
- Picture archiving communication system (PACS) experience
- Radiology Information System (RIS) experience
- IV Contrast Administration experience
