About the Role:

  • As a Peer Review RN, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care by identifying and addressing clinical performance and unprofessional conduct issues through thorough reviews of medical records, reports, and documentation.
  • You'll collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to facilitate improvement in individual performance and clinical documentation.
  • Your analytical skills will be essential in driving systemic change by analyzing data, identifying trends, and contributing to the development and implementation of strategies to enhance quality of care initiatives.
  • Shaping policy is also a key aspect of this role, requiring you to stay abreast of evolving regulatory requirements and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our peer review processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute peer review screenings based on established quality indicators.
  • Review medical documentation to identify areas of concern.
  • Analyze clinical cases and escalate issues as needed.
  • Facilitate OPPE and FPPE evaluations.
  • Prepare case studies for presentation to medical staff committees.
  • Support committee meetings and document outcomes.
  • Share data and collaborate on systemic improvement strategies.
  • Maintain provider quality files and prepare reports for leadership.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Four years of related work experience.
  • Current Washington State RN license.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (Epic experience a plus).

Compensation: $40.66 - $58.96 per hour
