Public Records Transparency Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Records Transparency Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Partnerships team, you will work closely with our Strategic Partnerships Director to cultivate and strengthen external relationships and ensure effective internal collaboration.
This role supports our partnerships strategies and collaborates with the communications, research, and legal teams to advance our pro-democracy agenda and position American Oversight as the preeminent public records organization.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development of partnerships strategies and initiatives.
- Collaborate with our teams to advance our pro-democracy agenda and position American Oversight as the preeminent public records organization.
- Develop and maintain connections with organizations and stakeholders on issues related to American Oversight's priorities.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of professional experience.
- 2+ years of progressively increasing responsibilities in partnerships development or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience working with external partners and in coalitions on progressive policy issues.
- Exceptionally strong project management, communication, judgment, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who can manage complex information, identify patterns, and draw well-reasoned conclusions. They should also have excellent confidentiality, judgment, discretion, professionalism, integrity, diplomacy, and ethics.
