SUMMARY:
The RN/LPN plays a vital role in delivering both in-person and telehealth services.
This position involves providing non-diagnostic assessments, education, and support to individuals facing unexpected pregnancies.
The nurse applies their clinical knowledge and experience to support Human Coalition's mission of rescuing children and assisting families throughout the nation.
This role is part of a collaborative and enthusiastic team dedicated to caring for women and families.
Human Coalition is a forward-thinking, compassionate non-profit organization committed to ending abortion.NURSE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess client situations effectively over the phone to identify and address their primary concerns.
- Educate clients on options regarding abortion, parenting, and adoption both via phone and in person.
- Connect clients with essential resources to alleviate their circumstances.
- Provide compassionate follow-up care based on established knowledge.
- Perform limited medical services for women facing unexpected pregnancies.
- Serve as a key member of the medical team, ensuring quality, confidential, and compassionate care for expectant mothers.
- Offer counseling, education, and emotional support to clients and their families.
- Document all client interactions and execute care plans accurately in the electronic Client Management System (CMS).
- Communicate relevant information to the Medical Director in accordance with organizational policies.
- Promote client safety and security while adhering to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.
- Exhibit patient-centered behaviors and effectively handle both medical and non-medical inquiries using independent judgment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must hold a current RN or LPN nursing license in good standing with the state medical board or a compact license equivalent.
- 2-4 years of clinical experience in any specialty is preferred, with an emphasis on obstetrical and gynecological care.
- Current CPR certification for healthcare providers is required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
- None. This role functions as an individual contributor.
