Phlebotomy Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Sonic Healthcare. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and collecting blood samples for laboratory testing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide patient-centered care and maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients
• Collect blood samples from patients of all ages using venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques
• Prepare and process non-blood specimens for laboratory testing
• Ensure accurate and timely specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and quality control standards
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous phlebotomy training or experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
• Basic computer and data entry skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing
• Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians
