Position Overview
The University of the Pacific is seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Clinical Education Coordinator and Faculty Member within the Department of Social Work. This full-time position encompasses both administrative and instructional duties, focusing on the development of a new specialization in behavioral health within the Master of Social Work (MSW) program.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Program Director and faculty to enhance course offerings and curriculum.
- Engage in the design and delivery of online, hybrid, and in-person courses, utilizing innovative teaching methods.
- Develop comprehensive course materials, including syllabi, reading lists, and assessments.
- Foster a student-centered learning environment that encourages active participation and engagement.
- Provide mentorship and academic guidance to students, supporting their scholarly pursuits.
- Assist in the recruitment and training of faculty with a focus on behavioral health.
- Work with the Director of Field Education to identify and establish new field placement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and maintain program quality.
- Participate in community outreach and represent the program in various professional settings.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from an accredited institution, along with a minimum of two years of relevant post-MSW experience in behavioral health. A doctoral degree in social work or a related field is preferred, as is clinical licensure or eligibility.
