Job Title: Sr. Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Electrical Engineer to join our team at Strategic Staffing Solutions. This is a contract opportunity with one of our largest clients, requiring a W2 employee with no visa sponsorship or C2C eligibility.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assigned projects in the Outage & Project Management (O&PM) Department, carrying out assignments requiring knowledge and experience in power plants, particularly in the planning, design, and execution of capital projects and operations and maintenance (O&M) tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a discipline engineer on assigned projects, acting in a project engineer role coordinating the efforts of other discipline engineers on the project team.
  • Act as a resource to the members of the Energy Supply staff regarding technical feasibility and engineering studies as they relate to the Energy Supply area.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of standards and processes related to design of engineered systems within the engineers discipline.
  • Use of new technologies and utilizing new engineering techniques and tools is an ongoing responsibility.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution or equivalent.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of design engineering and project engineering experience.
  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certificate. Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Florida is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the power distribution of a power generation facility, including ranging from 120V distribution panels to generator step up transformers.
  • Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA, Florida Building Codes and Standards.
