Job Overview

As a Pump Systems Technician, your primary responsibility will be the installation and upkeep of customer pump systems. You will collaborate closely with Field Service Engineers to meticulously plan each service assignment and work in conjunction with the Inside Sales Team to ensure that all necessary materials are procured and organized efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install various equipment including pumps, control panels, and associated accessories.
  • Manage piping systems within pump installations.
  • Work autonomously or alongside Field Service Engineers to strategize installations.
  • Ensure all required tools and materials are available for each service task.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding pump systems while on-site.
  • Maintain safety equipment in accordance with regulations.
  • Complete all necessary documentation related to service operations.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent educational background.
  • Experience in a mechanical field with a foundational understanding of electrical or electronic systems. Familiarity with pump motors or controls is advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing and piping systems is a plus.
  • Certification for working in confined spaces is mandatory.

Specific Skills:

  • Strong communication abilities with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Exhibit professionalism, good conduct, and a solid work ethic in both office and field settings.
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, ascend ladders, and perform rigging tasks for large equipment.
  • Willingness to work in confined spaces and sewage environments.
  • Must successfully pass a driving record check, background screening, and drug testing.
