Job Title: HVAC/R Service Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC/R Service Technician to join our team at DVL Group, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, adjusting, servicing, and repairing thermal systems in commercial and industrial buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize exceptional operational understanding of thermal systems, including split systems, DX systems, glycol, controls, and more.
  • Train customers and contractors on the use of thermal equipment.
  • Perform standard preventative maintenance duties on Liebert/Vertiv equipment efficiently and without supervision.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems, replace compressors and failed parts, and solder, braze refrigerant lines, water lines, and more.
  • Communicate daily with dispatchers, reporting job-by-job information about equipment ID, estimated time to complete, labor hours, and parts used.
  • Collaborate with sales associates and senior-level associates to provide customer solutions.
  • Diagnose network issues and work with vendors to achieve successful unit integration to building management systems (BMS).
  • Read, interpret, and utilize schematics and control circuits.
  • Interface with customers professionally, presenting Liebert/Vertiv and DVL in a positive light.
  • Work safely, following industry-standard safety practices, including knowledge of MSDS, tool safety, equipment safety, and ladder safety guidelines.

Requirements:

  • One-year certificate from a college or trade school, and five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient working with Liebert/Vertiv equipment preferred; at least a few years of relevant data center thermal experience required.
  • EPA Certification.
  • Able to work independently on service calls.
  • Proficient using a vacuum pump, micron gauge, and refrigerant reclaim machine.
  • Valid driver's license to drive to customer sites in a Company-provided vehicle.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Available to perform scheduled on-call and overtime duties.
  • Prior safety training and OSHA 10 preferred.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel preferred.
