At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a key member of our Test & Flight Operations team, you'll play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining ground systems and test facilities that support our mission to make humanity a multi-planetary species.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Design launch pad, test stand, and other facility piping systems supporting cryogenic and gaseous pneumatic systems.
- Analysis and Simulation: Perform fluid and structural analysis of new or modified designs, and select components and collaborate on system safety and process hazards analysis.
- Documentation and Collaboration: Guide creation of models and drawings of designs, perform system and component level analyses, and document results.
- Project Management: Draft and review specifications and statements of work, draft and review operational procedures, and coordinate with suppliers on costs, schedule, and technical design requirements.
- Installation and Commissioning: Oversee fabrication, installation, and commissioning of new or modified fluid systems.
- Communication and Teamwork: Provide input on cost, schedule, and technical requirements to internal customers, and occasionally travel to support project needs.
- Education: B.S. in aerospace or mechanical engineering (or similar discipline).
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with expertise in design and analysis of piping/tubing systems, and experience using analysis tools specific to piping (CAEPIPE, Bentley AutoPIPE, CAESAR, etc.).
- Skills: Experience with solid modelling or plant modelling, design lifecycle documentation, and configuration control, as well as knowledge of standard components, installation, and fabrication methods of piping systems.
- Additional Qualifications: Advanced engineering degree, 5+ years of proven, relevant experience, and knowledge of ASME B31.3 and in-field oversight of construction, testing, and/or operations of piping systems.
- Competitive Compensation: Compensation range for this role is $102,382.50-$143,335.50.

- Discretionary Bonus: Bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
