About the Role

Dykema Gossett PLLC, a leading national law firm, is seeking a highly skilled Legal Recruiter to join our team in our Chicago office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Firm-Wide Lateral Associate Recruiting: Collaborate with the recruitment team to develop and implement strategies for attracting and retaining top talent.
  • Oversee Student Recruiting Program: Plan and execute on-campus visits, recruiting touch points, and virtual events to engage with law students and promote our firm's culture.
  • Summer Associate Program Management: Work closely with hiring partners to plan and execute the summer associate program, including social events and day-to-day work assignments.
  • Candidate Management: Draft job descriptions, source candidates, coordinate interviews, and provide status updates and recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Partnership Development: Establish relationships with partner law schools' career services teams and external search firms to facilitate smooth onboarding and integration processes.
  • Diversity & Inclusion Initiatives: Support diversity and inclusion initiatives, including Mansfield Certification, to promote a culture of inclusivity and respect.
  • Recruiting Data Analysis: Analyze recruiting data and collaborate with teams to execute successful onboarding and integration during the summer associate program.
  • Recruiting Feedback and Surveys: Implement and review recruiting feedback and surveys, and report on strategic recruiting goals.
Requirements
  • Strong Knowledge of the Firm: Gain a deep understanding of Dykema's culture, practices, and policies.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills: Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including hiring partners and recruitment teams.
  • Professional Demeanor: Demonstrate a professional and respectful attitude when interacting with candidates, clients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Analyze recruiting data and provide insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Develop proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems: Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and ability to effectively utilize them.
  • Results-Oriented: Demonstrate a results-driven approach to recruiting, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion: Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and ethical hiring practices.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree: Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Recruiting Experience: Possess a minimum of one year of large law firm attorney recruiting experience or law school career services experience.
  • Recruiting Skills: Develop strong recruiting skills, including sourcing, interviewing, and candidate management.
