The Data Strategist will be responsible for developing and executing data-driven strategies to support business objectives, improve decision-making, and enhance performance across all levels of the organization.

This role requires a deep understanding of data management, analytics, and governance, with a proven ability to collaborate with senior leadership to align data strategies with broader business goals.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with executive-level stakeholders, potentially holding positions like Chief Data Officer (CDO), Data Director, or Senior Data Manager.

This individual will bring expertise in data analysis, business intelligence, and strategy, while fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making at Servant Digital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy to drive decision-making, enhance business processes, and improve performance.
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership to ensure data strategies align with organizational goals and mission.
  • Guide data governance, quality, security, and compliance processes and systems.
  • Recommend methodologies and data tactics to manage and use data within relevant regulatory and organizational directives.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation in data collection, analysis, and usage, and present actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic guidance on data architecture, ensuring systems and processes support the effective management and utilization of data.
  • Stay current on trends in data strategy, emerging technologies, and best practices to continually improve data capabilities.
  • Lead data-driven initiatives to support digital transformation, business growth, and efficiency improvements.
  • Mentor and guide cross-functional teams in leveraging data for strategic decisions and operations.
  • Lead the development of data analytics platforms and tools that enable the team to extract, manipulate, and use data effectively.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in data strategy, data governance, and analytics, with leadership roles such as Data Director, Senior Data Manager, or Chief Data Officer.
  • Demonstrated success working with senior leadership teams (SLT) or executive-level stakeholders, particularly in developing and executing data strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, data architecture, and compliance regulations.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools, data analytics platforms, and the development of data-driven strategies.
  • Ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executives, translating insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Familiarity with digital transformation initiatives, particularly within mission-driven or nonprofit organizations, is a plus.
  • Experience working remotely.
  • Prior consulting experience preferred.
