Kennel Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team at Clanton-Malphus-Hodges Veterinary Hospital & Pet Motel. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and client service in a fast-paced, multi-doctor animal hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kennel area, including cleaning and mopping.
  • Care for boarding animals, including feeding, administering medication, and providing a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Assist with bathing animals and provide a high level of care for all pets.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and positive communication skills.
  • Be energetic and have excellent work ethic, social, and organizational skills.
  • Be compassionate and caring, with the ability to work well with animals and people.
  • Be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
