RN Triage Specialist

As a RN Triage Specialist at Northshore, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and experience. You will be responsible for reviewing patient voicemails, conducting telephone assessments, and directing patients to the appropriate level of care. Your expertise will ensure that patients receive timely and effective care, while also providing support to our clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough telephone assessments to determine patient needs and provide guidance accordingly
Direct patients to emergency departments, urgent care centers, or physician offices as needed
Arrange appointments for patients who do not require emergency care
Escort patients to examination rooms, obtain vital signs, and record patient data
Prepare patients for exams and procedures, and set up rooms with necessary equipment
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Science preferred
1 year of telephone triage experience, preferably in a medical practice setting
Current RN licensure in Illinois and CPR certification
