Job Summary:

The Laundry Operations Manager will lead a team of laundry professionals in maintaining high standards of commercial laundry production and linen supply for hospitality, food and beverage outlets, and other businesses. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Team: Supervise and train laundry team members to ensure they are meeting production standards and goals.
  • Production Management: Oversee the daily operations of the laundry facility, including the washing, drying, and folding of linens.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all linens meet quality standards and are delivered to customers on time.
  • Safety and Security: Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, and report any safety issues to the supervisor or safety committee.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Work with the maintenance department to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, including responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production, quality control, and customer service, and provide regular reports to management.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Five years of experience in commercial laundry operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Certifications: Certified Washroom Technician (CWT) certification required, or the ability to obtain within one year of hire.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication and customer service skills.

Working Conditions:

The Laundry Operations Manager will work in a fast-paced laundry environment, with frequent exposure to loud noises, chemicals, and physical demands. The position requires the ability to stand for long periods of time, lift and move heavy objects, and work in a team environment.
