Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Mesabi Control Engineering. This is a full-time hourly position with a midnight shift schedule, requiring regular attendance and a strong mechanical ability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test heat exchangers and build crates using hand and power tools.
  • Assemble radiators using electric power drive units and observe, guide, and assist with training.
  • Perform work in a safe manner and follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Domestic and international travel may be required, including weekend travel.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED with 1 year of related work experience.
  • Strong mechanical ability and experience using power tools and forklifts.
  • Ability to learn and advance quickly, with good problem-solving skills and self-motivation.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to read, write, and use basic math skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Epicor, Ultimate software, or similar ERP systems.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing.
