Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to serve as the Dean of Academic Affairs and Workforce Development. This is a key leadership position that will play a critical role in shaping the academic and workforce development strategies of our institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Strategic Planning
    • Develop and implement academic and workforce development strategies that align with the institution's mission and goals.
    • Provide leadership and direction to academic and workforce development teams.
    • Collaborate with other senior leaders to develop and implement institution-wide strategic plans.
  • Program Development and Management
    • Develop and manage academic and workforce development programs that meet the needs of students and the community.
    • Oversee the development and implementation of program assessments and evaluations.
    • Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and implement program improvements.
  • Faculty and Staff Management
    • Supervise and evaluate faculty and staff in academic and workforce development areas.
    • Provide coaching and development opportunities for faculty and staff.
    • Collaborate with other senior leaders to develop and implement institution-wide faculty and staff development strategies.
  • Community Engagement and Partnerships
    • Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations and businesses to support academic and workforce development initiatives.
    • Collaborate with community partners to develop and implement programs that meet the needs of students and the community.
    • Represent the institution at community events and meetings.
  • Financial Management
    • Develop and manage budgets for academic and workforce development programs.
    • Oversee the financial management of academic and workforce development areas.
    • Collaborate with other senior leaders to develop and implement institution-wide financial management strategies.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Masters degree from an accredited institution.
    • Doctoral degree from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Experience
    • Seven years of higher education administration and teaching experience.
    • Two years of full-time teaching experience.
    • At least two years of administrative-level experience.
    • Two years of supervisory experience.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
    • Ability to manage budgets and financial resources.
    • Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, and community partners.
