Job Overview

The role of Modeling and Simulation Specialist for Plant Systems involves the following responsibilities:

  • Interpreting and analyzing electrical schematics, including circuit and control diagnostics related to devices such as sensors and actuators.
  • Creating plant model frameworks for sensors and actuators using Simulink or other suitable virtual modeling tools.
  • Establishing and adhering to interface standards applicable for VHiL, HiL, SiL, and CoSimulation environments.
  • Designing and implementing test scenarios based on user feedback and ongoing model enhancements.
  • Leading the collection of device data to support performance characterization and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Overseeing change management processes, including enhancements, release documentation, test case management, and technical support for models.
  • Defining virtualization needs for modeling, as well as for suppliers, hardware, and control systems.
  • Facilitating collaboration among various teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of supplier, hardware, control, and diagnostic requirements.
  • Balancing the long-term and short-term virtualization model needs for actuators and sensors, considering both internal resources and supplier solutions.
  • Coordinating virtual requirements across vehicle and propulsion domains for shared devices.
  • Gathering and analyzing Vehicle Calibration discrepancies to enhance model design robustness for accommodating variations.

Qualifications:

Candidate should possess a Master's degree in a relevant field.
