Biomedical Equipment Specialist

Under the supervision of a senior technician, the Biomedical Technician II is responsible for installing, testing, repairing, maintaining, and calibrating clinical medical devices in accordance with established policies and procedures, as well as manufacturer guidelines and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on medical equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Conduct thorough testing and calibration of medical devices to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve equipment-related issues and implement preventive maintenance strategies.
- Develop and maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and calibrations.
- Stay up-to-date with manufacturer recommendations, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance, repair, or calibration.
- AAMI CBET certification or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
