Operating 15 facilities, LRS manages over 2.5 million tons of waste annually, successfully recycling or diverting more than 50% of that volume.

Position Overview

As a Portable Restroom Service Operator, you will be tasked with servicing designated routes, ensuring the maintenance and cleanliness of portable restrooms, hand wash stations, and related equipment. This role requires a commitment to safety and professionalism while representing the company during service calls and maintaining effective communication with dispatch and supervisory staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate the service vehicle safely, adhering to all applicable local, state, and federal regulations as well as company policies.
  • Service portable restrooms and hand wash stations, meeting or exceeding the company’s service standards.
  • Complete assigned routes efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain open communication with dispatch regarding any route changes or issues that may arise.
  • Keep detailed and updated route sheets.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
  • Maintain accurate driver log sheets.
  • Engage professionally with both internal and external customers.
  • Ensure the service vehicle is kept clean and in good working order.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret maps effectively.
  • Capability to meet the physical demands of the role, including prolonged physical exertion.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
  • Previous experience in CDL truck driving is preferred.
  • Experience in the waste management industry is advantageous.
  • Must meet all legal eligibility requirements to work in the United States.
  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
  • Possession of a valid Class B CDL is mandatory.
  • A valid DOT medical card is required prior to employment.
  • No DUIs or OVI's within the last five years; no more than two in the last ten years.
  • No license suspensions within the last two years; no more than three moving violations in the last two years.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment testing is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, including understanding and responding to questions, directions, and safety training.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Repetitive lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing, with the ability to handle up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Exposure to residential and commercial waste.
  • Potential exposure to high traffic conditions while performing duties outside the vehicle.
