Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as **Vice President of Real Estate Development**. This role will involve leading the coordination and execution of affordable housing construction, rehabilitation, and capital projects.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  1. Identify new construction opportunities and potential acquisitions, rehabilitation of affordable housing properties.
  2. Oversee properties while maintaining revenue at or above projected budgets, address tenant issues, and provide written monthly accounts of costs incurred.
  3. Deal courteously and communicate effectively with various individuals, including property owners, contractors, architects, engineers, and utility companies.
  4. Prepare and deliver effective presentations in meetings with governmental agencies, community groups, and businesses.
  5. Compile all necessary information for government agencies, including OHFA, FHLB, HUD, and RD, for property acquisitions, LIHTC applications, and ongoing compliance of existing projects.
  6. Ensure all safety policies and practices are followed, including permits, inspections, and certifications for occupancy.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in affordable housing development, including acquisition, design, and financial structuring of multi-family housing.
  2. Specific knowledge, experience, and connections with LIHTC, OHFA, and HUD, including development standards, financing requirements, and compliance reporting.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and partners simultaneously and see projects through from start to finish.
  4. Ability to host and attend meetings in person and virtually and work collaboratively.
