Classification and Documentation: Ensure the correct classification of goods for customs clearance utilizing databases, standard operating procedures, tariff books, and other resources.

Data Management: Responsible for the data entry and processing of various import-related documents for submission to US Customs and all Participating Government Agencies (PGAs).

Record Keeping: Maintain and update all shipment documentation to comply with record-keeping requirements.

Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all international importing and exporting regulations.

Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, departments, and external entities including customers and government agencies to provide a high level of service.

Brokerage Processing: Manage agency brokerage shipments and handle remote filings as necessary.

Entry Reconciliation: Perform entry reconciliations and reviews as required.

Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with all governmental and organizational policies.

Issue Resolution: Follow up on customs-related matters and resolve any arising issues.

Qualifications: An associate degree or equivalent is preferred. A minimum of two years of brokerage experience is required, along with one year of customer contact experience. Proficiency in data entry and keyboarding is essential. A Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) and/or brokerage license is preferred. Required skills include MS Office proficiency, excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational abilities, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving capabilities. The ability to manage a high volume of work and time-sensitive tasks independently is crucial.

Knowledge Requirements: Familiarity with customs regulations and harmonized tariff schedules is mandatory.

Work Schedule: The position operates from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
