At Invitation Homes, we are looking for a skilled Residential Maintenance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will perform high-quality maintenance work on single-family rental homes while providing exceptional customer service to our residents.

Overview

We offer a competitive compensation package, including an estimated salary of $27.53 - $44.93 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Our generous paid time off plans include vacation accrual, sick time, standard holidays, and floating holidays. We also offer health, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as long-term and short-term disability insurance.

Job Description

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Completing maintenance service requests across multiple trades, ensuring prompt and efficient resolution of issues.
  • Providing excellent customer service and promoting a quality living experience for all residents.
  • Completing regular ProCare visits in residents' homes to perform proactive maintenance and repairs.
  • Educating residents regarding all maintenance topics and providing clear guidance on how to prevent future issues.

In addition to these responsibilities, the ideal candidate will have the ability to lift and/or move an excess of 50 pounds or more and operate standard maintenance equipment as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in residential repairs and maintenance, other building maintenance, or related experience.
  • An understanding of residential construction and mechanical systems and the ability to perform general repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC (minor), and appliances.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
