Job Overview

As a Certified Nursing Aide (CNA), you will play a crucial role in delivering compassionate care and support to residents in our facility. Under the guidance of the Supervisor, you will ensure that each resident receives personalized attention and quality care tailored to their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated nursing assistance as outlined in the resident's Care Plan, which includes personal grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, mobility support, and more.
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents' health conditions to the Supervisor.
  • Carry out assigned tasks such as taking vital signs, measuring residents' weights, applying topical treatments, and collecting samples.
  • Assist residents during meal times, ensuring they are comfortable and verifying their meal intake.
  • Deliver snacks, supplements, and fluids according to established protocols and monitor consumption.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote a safe environment for residents.
  • Safeguard residents' personal belongings and promptly report any missing items to the Supervisor.
  • Respond to resident call lights in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Help orient new residents and their families to the facility upon admission.
  • Accompany residents to various appointments and activities, including recreational and spiritual services.
  • Document care provided and relevant information accurately in electronic records, adhering to facility policies.
  • Participate in training and mentoring new staff, fostering a positive and supportive work atmosphere.
  • Recognize and appropriately address any potential behavioral issues that may arise.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Current Nursing Assistant Certification in the state of employment is required.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for performing job duties.
  • Previous experience as a nursing assistant in a long-term care setting is preferred.
