About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Movable Bridge Engineer to enhance the capabilities of our regional bridge team based in Chicago, Illinois.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and lead movable bridge projects.
  • Serve as a technical resource to the project team and mentor young engineers.
  • Perform existing bridge inspections, condition assessments, and develop rehabilitation strategies.
  • Develop technical reports, documents, client communication, and technical memoranda.
  • Prepare contract drawings, technical specifications, design calculations, technical reports, and construction cost estimates.
Requirements
  • BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Ability to pass MVR check.
  • SE license in the state of IL or WI or ability to obtain within 2 years.
  • Knowledge of 3D finite element software such as CSiBridge, MIDAS, SAP2000, etc.
  • Railroad bridge design experience is a plus.
