Job Description

As a professional in our Adult Mental Health Services team, you will play a vital role in providing direct and indirect mental health services to consumers with chronic mental illness or co-occurring disorders. Under the supervision of the Case Management Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for assessments, treatment planning, case management services, crisis intervention, and referral to various programs and services in the community.

You will work closely with consumers to identify their needs and develop individualized plans to support their recovery. Your duties will include providing mental health services, facilitating group activities, and documenting case information. You will also be responsible for carrying out all activities of the program in a manner that fulfills our mission, policies, and procedures.

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of one year of professional experience with adults with primary diagnoses of a serious and persistent mental illness and/or co-occurring disorder is required.
  • On a case-by-case basis, we may consider an applicant with two years of paraprofessional work experience with adults with primary diagnoses of a serious and persistent mental illness and/or co-occurring disorder.
  • Ability to operate a computer and gain proficiency in our computer systems is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally is required.
  • Possession of a valid Michigan driver's license and access to reliable transportation for job-related use is required.
Conditional Employment

Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a background verification and credentialing procedure consisting of a Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, verification of an acceptable Michigan driving record, educational background check, and verification of an acceptable work history.

You must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Salary and Hours

The salary for this position is $26.54 per hour, with 40 hours per week. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8-5, with occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work required.
