About the Role

The Academic Substitute Educator will work as an instructor on an as-needed basis in a regular classroom setting, presenting instruction in the specified subjects. You will be expected to create a positive and supportive learning environment, ensuring maximum student motivation and engagement. Your ability to establish strong relationships with students, colleagues, and other stakeholders will be crucial in achieving the program's goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and test scores.
• Collaborate with career tech instructors to coordinate curriculum development and ensure alignment with industry standards.
• Provide feedback and guidance to students to help them achieve academic success.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance instructional skills and stay updated on best practices.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. A bachelor's degree in education from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Additionally, you must have a valid state driver's license and be certified, licensed, or accredited in the state where the center is located.

Salary Range

The estimated annual salary for this position is $42,000 - $55,000, depending on qualifications and experience. This range reflects the local market rate and is subject to change based on company budget allocations.
