Role Summary:

The Registered Nurse will deliver both direct and indirect care to obstetric patients by employing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role requires meeting the physical, psychosocial, religious, and cultural needs of patients and their families. Effective communication with all healthcare team members regarding changes in patient conditions or responses to treatment is essential. The ability to adapt, stay organized, and perform under pressure is crucial.


Qualifications:

Education:

Associate degree in nursing is mandatory; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Licensure:

Registered Nurse license in North Carolina is required (or from a compact state).

Certifications:

Current BLS certification is required.
Additional certifications may be necessary as per departmental requirements.

Experience:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery is required.
