Job Summary

MKS Instruments is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineering Co-op to join our team. As a Co-op, you will assist in the design, development, and implementation of cost-effective production automation software for products used in the semiconductor and thin film markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in maintaining existing automation platforms, ensuring functionality, reliability, and performance.
  • Support new automation development initiatives and critical projects.
  • Design and develop our internal.NET framework for production automation and backend management.
  • Collaborate with New Product Introduction (NPI) teams on design, development, and deployment of new production software.
  • Perform root cause analysis on software failures, lead corrective action efforts, and communicate results.
Requirements
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant majors.
  • Knowledge of.NET (either VB.NET or C#).
  • Familiarity with Python.
  • Ability to solve complex problems relating to automation and software development.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in an internationally-based, team-oriented environment.
