Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough analyses of building designs, codes, and engineering standards to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Utilize Revit and AutoCAD to create detailed structural designs and models, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Participate in field work and site visits, working closely with senior engineers and designers to gather data and inform design decisions.
- Perform calculations and data analysis to design and optimize building components, leveraging company-standard software and proprietary manufacturer tools.
- Assist with engineering duties on projects of varying complexity, applying critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills to drive results.
- Contribute to the collection and analysis of data to support design decisions, working closely with project teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior engineering staff, contributing to the growth and success of our team.
- Basic understanding of Revit and AutoCAD, with experience using these tools as a drafting/design platform.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a project team setting, applying creative and critical thinking skills to drive results.
- Thorough understanding of structural engineering concepts, with excellent communication skills to effectively convey ideas and insights.
- Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, building programs, and other similar materials, applying analytical and problem-solving skills to drive results.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, and other relevant software, with experience in component design software such as Enercalc and Tedds, and general matrix analysis software like RISA and RAM Elements.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering and EIT certification.
- Previous co-op or internship experience preferred, with a strong academic record and relevant skills and knowledge.
