Caregiver for Long Term Care Residents

Location: Park River, ND Facility: GSS ND Park River
- Provide resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under RN supervision.
- Deliver age-appropriate care related to physical and psychological needs of residents as per care plan.
- Assist with basic health care needs including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining/recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support.
- Transfers, repositioning, and walking using correct transfer techniques and equipment; provide range of motion and passive exercises.
- Aid providers/nursing staff members with procedures if needed. Document interactions/outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Communicate changing conditions and concerns/responses to charge nurse. Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens/gather vital signs. Assist with housekeeping and laundry to maintain clean living areas. Participate in departmental committees/task forces as needed.
Estimated Salary Range: $19.00-$28.00/hour depending on experience Shifts: Varies including day, evening, night shifts. Full-time, part-time, and PRN positions available. Sign-on Bonus: Up to $5,000 for full-time hours or $2,000 for part-time hours (certified candidates only).
Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Minimum 16 years old. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with state board of nursing or obtain certification within four months by enrolling in training program/endoresement. CNA training/certification provided by facility.
- Satisfactorily complete yearly competency testing/maintain continuing education credits annually. A minimum of 12 hours of continuing education are required annually. Maintain all department-specific certifications.
- Block schedule flexibility; no rotating shifts. Wages based on experience; overtime available upon request. Daily pay options; fantastic sign-on bonus. Family-oriented work environment.
- Good Samaritan Society-Park River offers a 60-bed facility with skilled/basic care. The community has progressive medical facilities and nearby world-class walleye fishing opportunities. Winnipeg, Canada is within a three-hour drive for expansive cultural experiences.
