The Nursing Assistant serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care. Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned resident under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
Responsibilities:
* Serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care
* Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned resident under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN)
* Provides assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities that may include, but are not limited to, bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned resident
Requirements:
* High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
* Minimum age of 16
* Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
* Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
